Minnesota Oncology is pleased to introduce our new Gynecologic Oncologist, Angela Ziebarth, MD

Minnesota Oncology is pleased to announce that Angela Ziebarth, MD, has recently joined our Woodbury clinic.

“It is critical to offer the most advanced evidence-based options for patients with gynecologic cancers, but perhaps more important is fostering a doctor-patient relationship that allows a care plan sensitive to the individual needs of my patients. I feel privileged to work at MN Oncology, which offers cutting-edge care and research in a comfortable setting close to home.”

Dr. Ziebarth received her medical degree from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI. Her fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology was completed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL.

Dr. Ziebarth’s areas of special interest include:

  • Surgical management of gynecologic malignancies
  • Minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery
  • Sentinel node detection for gynecologic malignancies

Dr. Ziebarth’s medical affiliations include:

  • Society of Gynecologic Oncologists
  • American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG)
  • Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society

Originally from South Dakota, Dr. Ziebarth attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.  She completed Medical School at the University of South Dakota then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology as Chief Resident at the University of Wisconsin.  Subsequently she pursued an additional 3 year boarded fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Following this she served as faculty at Florida State University and at the University of Florida Residency Program in Pensacola, where her husband, an officer in Air Force Special Operations, was stationed.

She is delighted to return to Minnesota. In her spare time, Dr. Ziebarth enjoys time with her husband and children, making music, and being outdoors.
