Jessica’s research experience at Saint Catherine’s University includes topics such as the battle of cervical cancer in Tanzania and identifying risk factors for prescription opioid abuse in immigrants.

She worked for two weeks in Arusha, Tanzania assisting with vaginal deliveries, obstetric and gynecologic surgeries and the management of obstetric specific conditions at a rural, underserved hospital.

She also worked in Mwanza, Tanzania for one week participating in cervical cancer screening and cryotherapy treatments for women in a resource-poor community.
