Morrie’s Minnetonka Subaru donates blankets to Minnesota Oncology patients for 4th year

Edina, Minn. – Subaru of America, Inc. and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), two organizations committed to impacting positively the communities where they live and work, have partnered once again to send hope, love and warmth to Minnesota Oncology patients fighting cancer.

For the fourth year in a row, Morrie’s Minnetonka Subaru and LLS - MN, ND, SD delivered blankets, messages of hope and arts and crafts kits to cancer patients and their families at Minnesota Oncology Clinics to help keep patients warm as they continue their fight against cancer. Arts and crafts kits were provided for children accompanying a loved one for treatment or for parents and grandparents to bring home to the little ones.

Morrie’s Minnetonka Subaru staff presented their donation to Minnesota Oncology’s Dr. Steven Rousey at our Edina Clinic alongside one of his own patients, local leukemia survivor Heidi Gusenius, who accepted a blanket on behalf of other blood cancer patients like herself. Gusenius brought along her two children to the clinic for the blanket donation and said they were excited to visit Dr. Rousey. "He's like a superhero to them," she said.

LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout their 70-year history, funding breakthrough research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures, and providing support and advocacy for patients. But the fight against blood cancers cannot be won without supporters such as Subaru and their customers. Every voice, every action, every contribution is needed and valued. Together, we are committed to working tirelessly until we find a cure.

On behalf of our patients, Minnesota Oncology would like to thank LLS - MN, ND, SD and Morrie's Minnetonka Subaru for this generous gesture of hope.
