St. Paul Pioneer Press Features Minnesota Oncology’s Survivorship Program

An article in the of the Pioneer Press by cancer survivor and former Minnesota Oncology patient Caryn Sullivan discusses the importance of cancer survivorship programs like the ones at Minnesota Oncology. She interviewed Minnesota Oncology clinical nurse specialist Michele O’Brien about our programs: “Patient-centered survivorship programs that include treatment summaries, measure distress and offer patients means to navigate their care are becoming the standard, O’Brien says. In 2010, Minnesota Oncology developed such a survivorship and supportive care program. By year-end, it will be available in all of the community-based providers’ locations.”
