Minnesota Oncology Welcomes New Minneapolis Physician

Diaa Osman, DO

Minnesota Oncology is pleased to introduce our newest physician, Diaa Osman, DO. Diaa recently joined our Minneapolis Clinic team and brings a variety of educational and patient-care experience to Minnesota Oncology. He graduated from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine with his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in the Internal Medicine Unit at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.

Diaa’s areas of special interest include cancers of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, brain and spinal cords, and hematology, immune-oncology, and integrative and holistic medicine.  While pursuing his doctorate, he completed fellowships in Hematology and Oncology and research at the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospitals in Albuquerque, NM. Most recently, he worked as a Hospitalist at Lovelace Hospitals. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association.

"My approach is to listen, learn from, and work diligently with patients and their families to discover how their uniqueness affects their disease and how their cancer affects their body.” Diaa says, “By staying up-to date with the latest developments in cancer care, utilizing the most advanced diagnostics, and considering all potential treatments including standard conventional treatments, experimental therapeutics as part of clinical trials, and complementary therapies, my goal is to create a holistic treatment plan that is individualized to each person.”

Diaa lives in the Twin Cities with his spouse and two daughters. “I enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures and languages,” he says. “I speak Arabic and Spanish, and I love photography, theater arts, and soccer.”
