Hope in Motion 2024

Minnesota Oncology and Angel Foundation™ thank everyone who joined us Sunday at the 10th Annual Hope in Motion 5k/Family Walk!

Together, we honored more than 130 cancer patients/survivors, 416 champions, 112 volunteers and raised $70,245.26 in support of those facing cancer. Your support helps the Angel Foundation provide financial,
educational, and emotional support for cancer patients across Minnesota.

As we conclude the 10th Annual Hope in Motion, we would like to highlight a participant who has been with
us since the first event. Brian serves as a reminder of why we put Hope in Motion on every National Cancer Survivor Day.

A Message from Brian

Hope in Motion Participant & Survivor

"In April of 2013, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, stage II. My third son was born one week after my diagnosis. After his birth, he was transferred to the NICU for multiple reasons. I began chemo while Ian was in the NICU. Having a newborn (along with two older, very active boys) while going through cancer treatment was extremely difficult.

Somehow, my wife and I made it through with lots of help from family, friends, neighbors, and the team at Minnesota Oncology. I was declared in remission later in 2013. And that NICU baby is now an energetic and sweet 11-year-old.

This year’s event marks my 10th Hope in Motion. I have joined a running group and enjoy running throughout the year. In May, I completed my first half marathon. Running has been a way for me to regain my strength after cancer treatment.”

You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.

Thank you to everyone who made this year's Hope in Motion 5k/Family Walk a success. We hope we will see your smiling faces again at next year's Hope in Motion on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
