Prescription Refills

It is always best to anticipate your prescription refill needs and have any necessary prescriptions written during your scheduled office visit or treatment. Please bring the pharmacy phone number along with the prescription container that needs to be refilled. If you need a refill and are not scheduled to come to the clinic, contact the pharmacy that filled the prescription and the pharmacy will contact the clinic for refill information. All prescription requests will be handled promptly but it can take up to 48 hours (longer if requested on weekend) to reply to the pharmacy.

By law, you must have a written prescription for most narcotics such as Percocet, MS Contin, or Oxycontin. The written prescription must be picked up at the clinic and brought to the pharmacy. This means that most narcotic (pain) prescriptions cannot be called into a pharmacy, and will not be available after office hours or on weekends. We are extremely sympathetic to your needs and want you to have medication when you need them, but we cannot violate the law. It is always best to anticipate and contact the office or your pharmacy during office hours.

Please carefully monitor your medications, especially pain medications, and allow ample time for the prescription refill process to be completed.
