Computerized Tomography (CT): St. Paul Cancer Center’s CT Scanner is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) which is the highest level of professional recognition available. The ACR has a rigorous review process accessing each facility on nationally accepted imaging standards, quality assurance and safety guidelines.
Positron Emission Tomography/Computerized Tomography (PET/CT): Maplewood Cancer Center's PET/CT scanner is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This imaging technique combines the structural clarity of a CT image with the added dimension of pin-pointing abnormal metabolic activity within the body. These combined scans have been shown to provide more accurate diagnosis than the two scans performed separately.
