Minnesota Oncology Fridley Clinic Nurse Named 2014 Outsanding Nurse

Minnesota Oncology Fridley Clinic nurse Michele Myslicki was recently selected by Mpls.St. Paul Magazine as a 2014 Outstanding Nurse Award Finalist. Myslicki was one of 62 finalists who represent the top 20% of nominations received from the Twin Cities public. Myslicki and the other finalists were honored at a dinner and ceremony on June 25 at the Golden Valley Country Club and will be featured in September’s issue of Mpls.St. Paul Magazine.

“The Outstanding Nurses dinner ceremony hosted by Mpls.St. Paul magazine was an inspiring event,” Myslicki said. “It was great to see amazing nurses being recognized for their service. I appreciate being nominated, and I'm proud to work at the Fridley clinic amongst outstanding staff.”

“Michele and I have worked together for more than six years,” said Dr. Thomas Amatruda, oncologist and hematologist at the Fridley Clinic. “She brings to our patients deep knowledge about cancer and cancer treatment, together with an understanding of the difficult journey that our patients and their families are undertaking, and she works hard to give them the best care possible.”

“I am very fortunate to work with Michele and with her colleagues in Minnesota Oncology," Dr. Amatruda said. "I am always impressed with how carefully our staff listen to patients, and how they try to understand their needs and to offer the best support that we can.”

Minnesota Oncology sponsored a table at the Outstanding Nurses Awards dinner at which Myslicki, joined by her family and colleagues, was honored. See the full list of nominees here.
