MINNEAPOLIS, MN (August 2017) – Minnesota Oncology is pleased to announce that Emily Prendergast, M.D. has recently joined our Minneapolis Clinic with the practice of Gynecologic Oncology and Surgery.

Dr. Prendergast is an honors graduate from the University of Arizona who received her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Ariz. She completed her residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Ill. and a fellowship at the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Prendergast has published several research papers in professional journals such as Gynecologic Oncology, Current Opinion in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Her research interests include surveillance and survivorship for women with hereditary breasts and ovarian cancer syndromes, molecular profiling of gynecologic malignancies, and translation of molecular profiling of gynecologic malignancies into novel treatment approaches. She is also interested in minimally invasive robotic surgery and clinical trials, among other topics.
Dr. Prendergast and her husband reside in Minneapolis and are both active in the medical field. During down time she enjoys painting, traveling, riding horses, participating in triathlons, and going to hockey games.
