COVID-19 Patient Information

  • Patients will NOT be allowed in the clinic with symptoms.
  • Patients should be instructed to practice self-quarantine and isolation, including wearing a mask.
  • Patients should call a primary care provider (HCP) as appropriate.
  • Patients are encouraged to be tested for COVID (either a clinic/lab collect test or an FDA approved at home rapid COVID test are appropriate)

Prior to returning to the clinic, the following criteria must be met for PATIENTS with COVID symptoms (based on CDC Contingency Staffing Strategy Recommendations)

COVID Test Positive or COVID Testing Not Completed and Mild to Moderate COVID Symptoms:

1. At least 5 days from the onset of symptoms or 5 days from the positive COVID test (if available), which ever occurred FIRST – AND

2. At least 24 hours have passed since last fever without the use of fever-reducing medications – AND

3. Symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath) have improved

4. Patient must wear a tight fitting mask (example N95) for 10 days post positive test or onset of symptoms

 

COVID-19 Visitor Policy Update: November 1, 2022

  • Patients and visitors must be masked at all times while in all Minnesota Oncology clinics.
  • Patients may bring one or two visitors (over the age of 15) to provider clinic visits.
  • Patients may bring one visitor (over the age of 15) to their infusion appointment.

Due to the significant increase in COVID cases in our community, we at Minnesota Oncology, must update our Visitor Policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • Patients and visitors must be masked while in all Minnesota Oncology clinics.
  • Patients may bring one visitor (over the age of 15) to provider clinic visits.
  • Patients may bring one visitor (over the age of 15) to their infusion appointment.

  • Patients may bring one visitor (over the age of 15) to provider clinic visits.
  • Patients may bring one visitor (over the age of 15) to their first infusion appointment.
  • Exceptions include: interpreter or a patient needing special assistance.
