Philosophy of Care
It is a great privilege to be in a position to help people during a difficult time in their lives. Illness and recovery are very personal and significant events, and being allowed to share in those times is an honor. I view my role as a coach and support person, helping my patients maintain their sense of identity and quality of life.
My wife and I relocated to the Twin Cities from Iowa City, IA where we lived for 26 years. We have three adult children, all working in social work and caring for people with disabilities. My wife is a 10-year cancer survivor, so we strive to make every day count. In the summer we spend our free time camping and boating. Favorite winter pastimes include watching movies, attending theater shows and going out to dinner.
