Research/Publications
Dr. Tan is first author on two articles and co-author on several others. She has published in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Oncogene, Journal of Biological Chemistry, and American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
She also co-authored the book, Blueprints, Notes & Cases: Biochemistry, Genetics, and Embryology.
In October, 2006, Dr. Tan participated as a speaker at the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health: 37th Annual Autumn Seminar in Minneapolis with a presentation entitled “The Human Papillomavirus Vaccine: A New Era in Cancer Prevention.”
Personal
Prior to entering the medical field, Dr. Tan earned a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
She is a native of Shoreview, Minnesota and currently resides in Minnetonka with herhusband Richard and their two young children, Grace and Maxwell. In her leisure time, Dr. Tan enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends
