Minnesota Oncology is a group of 57 oncology sub-specialists dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of various cancers – lung, breast, gynecological, colorectal, prostate cancer and others – as well as many blood disorders. Minnesota Oncology has nine clinic locations in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, and seven satellite clinics serving greater Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.  We are an affiliate of the US Oncology Network, one of the nation’s largest cancer treatment and research networks.

 Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant– Full Time

We are looking for an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our Maplewood Cancer Center. This role will provide primary care to oncology patients in a collaborative joint practice with an oncologist.  Scope of responsibility includes expert patient care as provider/practitioner, educator/teacher, care management, consultant, nurse researcher and nurse leader. 

Candidates will have:

Nurse Practitioner: a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education; Current Minnesota RN license and current certification as Nurse Practitioner ; Minimum of three years experience as a practicing NP; Experience and knowledge in the management of the physiologic and psychological effect of a cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment strongly preferred.

Physician Assistant: Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Minimum of three years experience as a practicing Physician Assistant. Prefer previous experience in oncology. Current  Minnesota state license as a Physician Assistant. Current CPR certification required. Current BCLS and PALS certification required.

  PET/CT Technologist – Casual

Under general supervision, this individual will perform diagnostic PET/CT and CT imaging procedures to include injection of radiopharmaceutical and/or IV Contrast, setup of protocol, patient positioning, reconstruction and filming of images, coordination of image on report function and archiving of images; Assist in procedure scheduling and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow; Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution and patient files; Assist with collection of clinical data for patient follow-up and development of teaching and educational information.

Candidates will have an Associate’s or Bachelors degree in nuclear medicine technology from an AMA accredited program; Minimum three to five years experience in nuclear medicine and/or previous PET experience; CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable.

 Dosimetrist (Certified) – Full Time

In collaboration with the medical physicist and radiation oncologist, designs a treatment plan by means of computer and/or manual computation to determine a treatment field technique that will deliver a prescribed radiation dose. Uses CT, MRI, PET, ultrasound, plane film, and fluoroscopy imaging to create and verify therapy portals. Performs patient specific quality assurance techniques under the direction of the physicist.

Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program. At least one (1) year actively practicing as an RTT and at least two (2) years direct dosimetry experience and Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) required. Must be ARRT certified and hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
