Minnesota Oncology Welcomes New Advanced Practice Providers

Minnesota Oncology recently welcomed two new Advanced Practice Providers. Katrina Jackson, RN, MSN joined our Maplewood Cancer Center team, and Kathleen Sahli, PA-C joined our Coon Rapids Clinic Team.

Katrina Jackson, RN, MSN

Katrina Jackson, RN, MSN, has more than 7 years of oncology and hematology experience, most recently treating patients at Karmanos Cancer Institute in Cincinatti, Ohio, where she received the Karmanos Starfish Award in recognition of exceptional customer service skills to fellow employees, patients, and their family members. She has several years of experience caring for patients in a hospital setting as well. Jackson has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinatti. 

"I truly believe it is a privilege to work with our patient population," Jackson says. "I take time to listen to my patients’ needs and wishes and focus on treating both them and their families with a holistic approach to encompass both their physical and emotional needs."

Originally from Wisconsin, Jackson and her husband recently relocated to the Twin Cities area from Michigan to be closer to family. "I enjoy exploring the outdoors with our two young girls and our Chocolate lab, Roscoe," she says. "I also enjoy running and baking."

Kathleen Sahli, PA-C

Kathleen Sahli, PA-C, received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a Chemistry minor from North Dakota State University in Fargo. She receieved her Master of Science Physician Assistant from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn. Sahli is member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants and is a Bethel University Physician Assistant Advisory Board Member.

"My philosophy of care is treating each person individually as a whole body, mind, and spirit," Sahli says. "I am a firm believer in patient education and empowering them to be actively involved in their medical care. It is important to me to provide compassionate and evidence based care. I hope to be by my patient’s side every step of the way as they go through their cancer care journey."

Sahli and her husband are both Minnesota natives. "We love to be outside hiking and exploring," she says. "We also enjoy spending time with our animals riding our horses and playing with our dog."
